A Huge Thank you

Thank you to Chatsworth Health Club for their ongoing donations. So far there has been over £185 raised through second hand book swaps and plant sales. This money has brought sand for the sand pit and a soft archery set for our smaller adventurers.

To all those that attended our Outdoor Quiz Night on 13th May ‘22. A brilliant night was had by all concerned.

Thank to Chatsworth for the kind donation of a bell tent and benches for use in our allotment area.

Thank you to all who came and supported the Open Afternoon and Fundraiser at Dukes Barn on Saturday 30th October ‘21. We raised just over £500. This money will be going towards purchasing new equipment for the community activity clubs.

To Cllr Susan Hobson who donated £450 to purchase soft play equipment for the EYFS children and those with SEND.

Thank you to all who came and supported the Open Afternoon and Fundraiser at Dukes Barn on Sunday 23rd May ‘21. Just over £1000 was raised and this has gone towards the development of many of the areas in the orchard EYFS area.

SUPPORT US without spending a penny

During onsite gardening sessions we use a lot of recycled plastic plant pots and plant & vegetable seeds so if you have any that you would normally through away or have no use for please consider dropping them off to us. We are also always in need of good quality, but preloved outdoor children’s toys such as diggers, cars, spades, wheelbarrows, watering cans, storage containers, cushions and blankets…in fact most things that children like to play with outdoors!

TERRACYCLE - we also collect sweet & chocolate packets, Pringles tubs and plastic bakery packaging which Terracycle turn into points and donations. Please help us by using out public-drop off box at the end of the drive.

Volunteering

We rely on the generous help of volunteers to keep the areas of Dukes Barn looking their best for visiting groups. Over the last year we have been very grateful to have had the support of many volunteers from across the Chatsworth Estate, RAB and beyond, working in a COVID safe way to maintain and develop our outdoor spaces. This development support is invaluable and allows us to continue to develop more activities and offer to wider age and community groups than ever before.

If you would like to become involved as an individual for or a group please email us or join one of our weekly volunteer groups that can be booked here.

Parking

There will be parking in the village church car park, by kind permission of the warden and parish council. If you are parking in the village please be considerate to residents.
